Simplified declaration SDE

Lodging a declaration that does not contain all the required data or documents, completed afterwards by a supplementary declaration.

Why it matters: the goods are made available faster.

What you must supply

• Annex SDE application
• An internal procedure providing that the employees concerned inform customs of any compliance problem
• Where applicable, a procedure for handling import and export certificates connected with prohibitions and restrictions
• Where applicable, a procedure for handling certificates and licences falling under commercial policy measures or trade in agricultural products

Documents required in every case

• Criminal record extract less than one month old — the applicant, the person responsible for or exercising control over the management, and the employee responsible for customs matters. (Natural person: from the municipal administration. Company: from the SPF Justice — the Belgian federal justice department — Central Criminal Records, together with the extract from the Moniteur belge recording the appointment.)
• Waived if you are an AEO.
