Where to file the application EU Customs Trader Portal

A European portal distinct from the previous one: the two are easily confused.

https://customs.ec.europa.eu/gtp/

Legal basis: Implementing Reg. (EU) 2015/2447

A system of self-certification of origin, used in particular under the GSP and several recent agreements.

What to plan for: keeping the evidence, and controls after the event.

Registration thresholds

  • GSP — EU exporters to developing countries: consignments over €6,000, and replacement statements on origin
  • OCTs: consignments over €10,000
  • Bilateral agreements — Canada, Japan, Côte d'Ivoire, Vietnam, Ghana, ESA States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, New Zealand, Chile, Mercosur: consignments over €6,000

How to file

Since 25 January 2021 the procedure has been entirely digital, through the REX tab of the EU Customs Trader Portal.

Contacts: roles and administration `plda.helpdesk@minfin.fed.be` · REX questions `da.ops.douane1@minfin.fed.be`. The email subject line is prescribed: `EUCTP – ISSUE – REX – EORI number – Company name`.
